Gonna post about 29/30/31august2009. (:

CIP - 29&300809 ; Singapore 'RUN' Race Pack Collection!
Met up with LYC & Pakhrin at Aljunied MRT station,
'cause I was too late to meet up with the rest;
Casandra, Germin, Gladys, Jean, Zion, Alson, Sean, Blanky.
Burger King -ed for a quick breakfast.

First job, factory work.
We had to manually pack the race packs/bags!
Actually, it was quite fun, & we were very fast.
We worked well & were co-operative you know?
ahahhaha.
Then, some of us were asked to do the Receptionists' job.
Quite easy too, just registering & passing the bags to the runners.
Another job was being the 'runner' for the receptionist.
Basically, he just has to pass the race pack,
with the correct t-shirt size, to the receptionist.
Soon enough, we were throwing the t-shirts around & hollering out loud.
Queue Marshall, was my job.
I was to tell people where to collect their race packs & do some promotion.
Quite fun I'd say.
Had some turkish ice-cream during break.
It was great!
(so was the price; $3!)

2nd day was about the same, but we had more food.
Some lady sponsored breakfast for us. (bread)
& it was nice!
High-quality food.
Fattening muffins.
2nd day zoomed past faster, though Pakhrin, Sean, Blanky didn't come.

Food on both days (lunch & dinner) was BK.
We had this $5 BK voucher for every eating break.
Quite boring to eat the same thing everyday, actually.

Slacker was our name.
Basically, throughout the whole cip,
we were doing nothing most of the time.
Quite boring, really.
But oh well, with things to talk about, I guess we're fine.
So that's CIP.

Teachers'/Ryan's day Celebration!
Was MC for the performance, along with Jia Hui & Daryl.
A few performances, then Jia Hui & my turn.
We did a duet on flute & piano, a rendition of "The Servant King"
Hand was shaking while performing.
Was quite well done, I'd say.
Received praises from people saying that our performance was good.

Games time was boring.
Was walking around, looking at some games.
Then finally decided to stay with Ryan at the canteen.
BORING, ultimately.

Ex-GMers came back, some of them.
Took photos with Dawn, Jun Tian, Grace.
Finally.
No Jia Min though. ):
Was fun seeing all the familiar people around.

After Teachers' Day Celebration, had lunch with Zion & Ryan at Ananas.
Then rushed to band.
There was a blackout at the whole area around Aljunied.
Band room was without air-conditioning,
so we all went for sectionals.
Slept a bit during sectionals, then went back for main band.
Band-ed till 230.

After Band, went to Gladys' place.
There, we, Casandra, Germin, Gladys, Jean, Zion, Ryan, Alson, Javier, & I,
celebrated Ryan's birthday!
OREO CHEESECAKE was awesome; the best!
Slacked around at Gladys' place, napped a little till around five.
Crazy girls drew on Javier & Alson.
Another great day!

HELLO PEOPLE!
*reviving of blog in process*

Teachers' Day Celebration's Rehearsal today.
1st time:
Was veryveryvery messy.
MR didn't know what to do, performers were blur.
MCs were blur too.
In-charge(s) were pissed, so was Mrs Lian. (she was wearing black shoes)
Helped out a little with the decoration.
(gave ideas, but none taken, decorations are still very ugly even now.)
MCs, Daryl, Jia Hui, myself, spoke quite well;
(not much fumbling or mistakes in words.)
Performers were blur! VERY BLUR.
Was doing mc halfway when I figured that I had to take my flute.
Took it, then remembered that we forgot about the scores.
I thought it was in the 'Prefects' ROD 2009' file. (it wasn't)
So we (Jia Hui, myself) had to play by heart, by what we remembered.
Performers weren't so bad, F42 was very good.
As I watched them perform, though, I asked myself this.
"Will our F42 be like them next year?"
I doubt.
We seem so not-united and not enthusiastic.

Throughout the rehearsal, Mrs Lian was very pissed.
Very pissed with the MR crew for not knowing what to do, etc.
But I kind of pity them.
It's not their fault, really.
& they were asked to help out, but we treat them like servants.
Not that nice, eh?
Though, the 2nd rehearsal, they did well.
They remembered what to do, etc.
& MCs, performers, everyone was good this time.
Thank God. (:

After rehearsal, went dinner with..
Joanna, Casandra, Germin, Gladys, Alson, Zion, Yu Hung, Linus,
Ryan, Javier, myself.
Linus left for Cell Group early.
We didn't really eat, but just sat there and talked.
We shared a bit of ourselves, & got to know Joanna's first impression of us.
Sweet, Gentle, Kind, but a bit gay(?) was mine.
That's nice I guess. (not the gay part. HAH)
But I don't mind being labelled so, I don't really care what others think.
Was a listener like I always am throughout the 'talk'.

LISTENERS:
I think people should all learn to be listeners.
We shouldn't be so selfish to steal the limelight all the time.
I'd prefer to sit back,
and listen to what the person has to say.
Through that, I get to think thoughtfully,
and process the information.
Then, I can really give constructive comments,
not some useless babble.
Listeners think deeply,
and mind-read or predict what he/she's going to say next,
we look at things at different perspectives.
Maybe if we speak less and listen more,
we'll get to understand even better,
and knowledge comes easier.

Heyyo people!
Adam is waaaaaaaaaaaay happy & overjoyed right now.
hahahah!
It all started since friday...

Friday - 200809
After school, adam had band.
Played through "Beatles Gold", "Sock Hop Tonight", & hymns.
Sigh.
I really want to play some more challenging songs.
(Like "In the Winter of 1730"?)
& "Enchanted" might be cancelled too, if we don't work hard. ):
Let's strive as a band towards a good Thanksgiving performance!

After band, looked for Casandra.
Stayed in the Prefects' Room for awhile as she played her captain's ball.
(was the owner of Casandra's phone during that time.)
Crapped with Foo Xin, Shawn, Daryl W, Alson S.
Then were chased off by Mr Lee.
Went to the canteen with Casandra & slacked with vball guys.
Again, were chased off by Mr Lee.
As loyal friends, we waited outside the school gate for our dear Alson, Zion, Jean, Ryan, etcetc to finish their Cell group before going for dinner together.

And I sat with Casandra at the stone parapet(?),
while helping to be security guards.
There, something amazing happened.
I shared about Jesus Christ to Casandra.
& although it's the third time someone is sharing to her,
she didn't feel bored or anything. (Thank God!)
I shared also, my view about Christianity.
That it is the only real religion that has a real God.
Shared with her some stories from the bible too.
(& apparently, she loves stories. hahahah!)

LYC & P walked pass the gate to go home,
& stayed to chat for awhile.
They boasted about watching "The Proposal".
Boring storyline though, so cliche.

Finally, they came out from Cell group, & we went for dinner.
Talked about lots of things over dinner.
We do feel sorry for her.
Casandra was emo.
Left at around 9.
Walked a bit of the night market with Alson & Casandra.
Silent throughout.
Kept thinking about things.

Today - 220809
Something amazing just happened.
Casandra PRCed! (Prayed to Receive Christ)
I'm so ultimately happy la!
(& I was just sharing to her yesterday!)
I guess I must thank God for allowing her to go to Alson's church today.
(she PRCed there.)
Although I was just a bit slow in bringing her into my church,
it's okay.
As long as she's Christian now, I'm fine with it.
I'm soooooooooo happy!
Alson is jealous that I was the one who made her want to PRC.
(HAHAHAHAHA.)
But I'm jealous she's in his church.
So we're equal.

Thank God, I guess that Casandra is saved.
& in such a short time.
So this is how it feels to have someone you shared to,
to have the salvation.
It's indescribable joy.
God, thank you for your awesome works.
Thank you for bringing Casandra back to you.

PREFECTS' ROD 2009!
Totally awesome.
The deco was great, prefects were fun; all good.
The food ain't that nice though. :X
Items this year weren't fantastic either.
But everything else was amazing.
I'd like to thank all the prefects for helping me with deco,
taking my orders without question, not arguing.
& Jia Hui, for doing so many things. (that I was lazy to do. :X)
Sec3 Prefects for putting up with my temper, etcetc.
Also, Mdm Chua, Casandra, Jia Yi, Mei Yin, Shi Hua, Xiuying, MR crew,
and everyone else who helped in a way or other.

Received lots of positive comments from teachers, prefects & students.
Thank you so much.
Being incharge of ROD was tough, but definitely an awesome experience.
The stress from rushing, getting things done, last minute work,
was overwhelming; but a good lesson, that I should not do everything myself.
The sense of achievement is great.
& I dare say, this year's ROD is the best ever.
Creative Adam thought of tables, program sheet, deco.
HAHAHAH.
Nah, not so thickskinned.
Everybody helped.
Thanks everyone.
Especially sec4 prefects 09, we'll miss you. (:

After ROD, met up with Grace & P Jia Min.
Missed them so much.
Missed doing latecomer's & relief duty together.
Good times.
Went to mac with them & Foo Xin, Eileen, Shawn, Gladys.
Caught up with each other. (:
Grace left early; (I guess her course must be influencing her, hahah!)

Some miscommunications in between.
Then, met with Jia Min & Jun Tian at Bugis, Iluma.
Practically walked around the whole mall.
Hunger striked, & we went to some nearby stall to eat. (opposite bugis junction)

At around 2, met with Casandra, LYC, Alson, Sean & neighbour.
Wasted about an hour deciding where to go.
In the end, spent the time walking back to Aljunied, hah.
Ultimate lameness.
7-11 rehydrated us.
Walked & walked, then split up from Alson, Sean & his neighbour.
Decided on wanton mee, then food centre, then mac.
Then, my house.
Casandra & LYC came up to rest, LYC was the first to doze off.
Desperate for aircon, she went to her cousin's place.
Alson came up & we slacked/rested/slept.
Casandra was awake throughout till 640 when she went for GG.
(some competition thing)
After she left, Alson came into my room & we slept, with aircon. ^^
Tired, till now.

Couldn't find time to blog for the past week, so here goes.

070809 - FRIDAY
Band marched as a contingent this year.
Was pretty awesome, I'd say.
(except for some idiots who just can't be bothered.)
Majors are confirmed and recognized already. (:
Celebration in the hall wasn't as good as last year's.
& with Mrs Loh asking me to give out invitations, it can't get any worse.
This year, we had a souvenir though.
It's the goodie bag (only the bag) for NDP 2009!
Quite cool.
The cover's changeable for other colors,
& removable to become an auntie's bag.
(that Mandie likes so much, ahahahah)

After celebration, had to see Mrs Loh with Jia Hui about ROD.
She complained a lot, & I had to defend ourselves for a bit.
(which eventually made her angry. -.-)
Until about 12plus, (started at around 11)
she finally released us with lots more work to be done.

Finally, went home to change,
then went cyling at ECP with Casandra, Germin, Gladys, Jean, Zion, Ryan,
Sean, Shawn & Jason(?).
Good workout of 2hrs of cycling.
But apparently, we gained back the weight when we went to eat dinner.
Had fun crapping with Zion, Jean & Sean. (:

090809 - SUNDAY
After service, went 'flower-picking' with Jia Yi at ECP.
Am very sorry for killing the innocent flowers.
(was apologizing when picking them)
Had one 'Mr Bean plastic bag' full of them.
Satisfied, & went home.

100809 - MONDAY
Had Non-official Prefects' Meeting with Shawn & Jia Hui at my place,
to discuss about ROD. (again -.-)
Yun Cui SUPER randomly popped by & looked around the place,
with her mother & cousin.
Her new nickname's "CHEEK-KEN". (:
That's what her cousin calls her.

Had asked Jia Yi to come along so that Jia Hui won't feel so weird.
Had a great time (ironic?) discussing & video-ing for the item.
Jia Yi was a great help in taking the videos for us.
Jia Hui & Shawn went off at around 7 to buy the materials.
Thank you so much, Jia Hui!

120809 - WEDNESDAY
Fever of 38.5degrees, didn't go to school.
But I went to school, after school. HAH.
Had to chair/be present for the Sec3item's meeting.
Wasted a lot of time settling down & doing irrelevant stuff.
In the end, finished shooting everything, except for the "Band" part.
If we didn't waste so much time, we would've finished.
Though, Casandra was kind enough to lend us her 5megapix camera phone.
(despite having to nap at home to prepare for some soccer match)
Was drained.

Went to see doctor at around 7pm.
They ripped me off my 30 bucks just for consultation & medicine.
Totally ripped my off.
Got an MC of 3days.
Means I still can't go to school on friday.
(but I will for ROD. :X)

130809 - TODAY
Didn't go to school today.
Am a bit better.
Slept a lot, and I felt like I was wasting time.
Like a pig, doing nothing but sleeping.
Felt pretty much useless.

Lots of things in school cropped up.
Mrs Loh misunderstanding, program sheet not done, drinks not bought,
Mr Jaya's disapproval of the logistics, etcetc.
I'm grateful to Jia Hui though, that she took over my place,
did everything for me because I'm sick.
She must be stressed out too.

Anyway, fever went down to 36.9degrees.
Thank God. (:

On a lighter note, ROD's tomorrow!
All that we've been working for is finally coming to place.
So excited!
Going out with Grace, P Jia Min & Jun Tian after ROD tomorrow.
Hope I'll be well enough by then. (:

NATIONAL DAY REHEARSALS TODAY.
Tiring, but it'll all be worthed it. (:
GOH is fun, Adam is jealous.

After rehearsals (630pm), came home to shower.
Went for prayer gathering with a ham&cheese sandwich for dinner. (7pm)
RUSH RUSH RUSH.
Only came back home at around 9pm, DEADBEAT.
Tell me, do I have time to study for Physics?
Do I have time to do my ROD stuff?
tsk.

Adam's irritated by people who don't give their all into their marching;
makes me demoralized.
Also am irritated by people who just don't listen & stay alert.
Talking away all the time.
All you can do is complain, complain, complain.
Don't you think you're a bit useless?
What else can you do other than whine?

Teachers.
What are they for, really?
I am really frustrated with a certain teacher, (lohkimwhoon)
who puts all blame to others, who does nothing,
but keeps complaining about how things are not good enough,
who keeps rushing us until we have no room to even breathe.
Come on.
Of course nobody likes to do work.
But you don't do nothing & complain complain complain.
You think it's so easy?
Of course it is for you, you don't have to do anything &
you get to rid yourself from all blame, how better can it get?
Really.
I am very busy too. (I don't even think you are)
You expect everything to be done, but you don't even help.
You know how many people in the school hates that?
You know how many students (& teachers) hate you & your attitude?
I have more things to do than you think.
The rod thing.
I wasn't even told to start planning.
Then you just come suddenly & scold me for not doing anything.
& when I've done something, you comment comment comment,
& ask me to re-do.
Sure.
Do it yourself.

Currently busy with/on my mind/coming up:
- National Day
- Prefects' ROD
- Prefects' ROD item
- Church/Corporate time
- Art competition in September
- Studies
- Band
- & more! (but I just can't remember)

sigh.
I just hope this will pass quickly.
Then I'll look back & feel so satisfied with my work.
(maybe getting the few more rings of eyebags are worthed it then)

PS: I got 24/26 for Chemistry.
Miss Ng said it was a great improvement from C6 to A1! :D

HEY MONDAY, school holiday.
GMS's having a school holiday,
in lieu of the Thanksgiving ceremony on saturday, 1aug09.
Seems like I missed Thanksgiving's post.

THANKSGIVING - O1O8O9
Went for band at 8am.
Was able to memorize the songs, and play them quite okay-ly.
As always, I liked marching, but had to leave at 1040,
to prepare for Thanksgiving.
So I rushed home with my flute and file. (later found out it's JiaYi's. -.-)
Showered, and went out again.
Was 10min late (1140), but nonetheless, it was okay that I was late,
since our rehearsal & whatsoevers hadn't begin.
All the prize winners & emcees (us!) were held in the MPR at GMS(S).
There, we slacked, relaxed, talked, took photographs till it was about 1230.
Was fun to laugh at the teachers' change throughout the years,
at the photographs on the MPR wall. (:
Even took some photographs with Mdm Chua. :D

Finally, went over to GMS(P) to rehearse & prepare for the ceremony.
The prize winners were taught on were to stand, etcetc.
The emcess (us - Shawn, Deborah, Sheryl, Dayna, Myself) mainly relaxed.
(or in other words, slacked & commented & commented)
We didn't really had a chance to rehearse our parts properly,
so it was kind of nervous, but at backstage it's always fun!
Took photographs while waiting for our turns to announce.
Talked & laughed too.
Mrs Theseira is awesome!
She came over to join us backstage and talked to us.
I always thought she was a stern & boring teacher,
but I didn't know she was as fun as Mdm Eng!
She came over to me, and called me by name.
It seems that she remembered me (& Jasmine!)
from the Sec1 Orientation earlier this year,
when Jasmine & I were doing the MC for the Singspiration!
I didn't knew we had such an impact!
Okaaaay, enough about me.
Soon, Mrs Theseira went up and sang "Give Thanks",
another perfect rendition of the song. (she sings reaaaaaaaaaaaaally nice)
Mdm Eng is awesome too!
She talked to us like friends, (which many teachers failed to do)
and laughed together with us when we commented on certain things.
(:

Alas, the ceremony was over & we went down for tea reception.
Jeslin (Eng, ex-bandmajor 2007) was there & dragged me around.
It was nice to see her again. (:
Took more photographs. (with Mdm Eng also)
Reception was alright, but I felt that there weren't any Carbohydrates.
No rice or bee hoon like other buffets.
Quite disappointing, but their other food was awesome. (:
We (Emcees) sat with Mdm Chua,
as she pondered about her work with Miss Wong, and looked troubled.
We ate as much as we can, (well, not really)
and laughed as we talked about the staff.
(sheeeeesh. greedy, irritating people,
who tookaway food when we weren't even done.)
Casandra & Jean came to find us!
(finally. how could they not after receiving a call from Mr Adam, HAH.)
Finished up our food & helped to clear up.
Then went over to GMS(S) to take photographs with Mdm Eng & Mdm Chua.
Sadly, Mdm Eng went off already. ):
So, we took photographs with Mdm Chua.
She's really an awesome teacher. (:
Slacked a bit with Shawn, Casandra, Jean in the Prefects' room.
Then went for YF. (:

YF was enjoyable. (oh, when was it not?)
I loved seeing Emmations & talking to them.
(I guess I really missed them after missing YF & church last week)
Missed YiHan & MeiYin.
YF ended quite early, & went for dinner with YiHan & Hendry.
Loved talking over dinner. (even though I didn't eat. :X)
Went back to EL for a bit of fellowship,
which turned out to be a chillax-ing session.
Learned that Jessie used to work at Night Safari. (SO COOL RIGHT?)
Had a nice time with Emmations. (:

Thanksgiving 2009 photos

SUNDAY - O2O8O9
Had tuition in the morning.
Has been 2 weeks since I've seen my tutor, missed him just a little. (:
Went for Service after that.
I loved seeing Emmations again!
Had make-up acorn class with BinHua & AlsonS.
Learnt about prayer.
We sang this awesome song, "Children Of God"!
Service was okay.
Elder Elijah Lee shared about faith through John 2:1-11,
which helped me to regain my faith. (:
No family time though (sadface), since a youth was suspected of H1N1,
thus, all the youths had to sit on the left side of the pews.
It's only precautionary, though.

After service, caught up with fellow Emmations.
MeiYin was sick. ):
Loved spending time with YiHan. (:
Went for dinner with YiHan & Olivia at Bugis.
In which YiHan left halfway because he had a family buffet.
& I threw a little tantrum. HAHA
(sheesh. so blessed)
Leaving Olivia & I alone. -.-
Went shopping with Olivia after dinner.
She asked me questions about girlfriends.
"No, I won't bring her to a post restaurant."
"No, I won't mind the age."
hahahah, it was hilarious.
Walked around a bit before coming home.

TODAY - O3O8O9
Holiday; for us to rest after the Thanksgiving ceremony.
Finally woke up on my own freedom,
without having to wake up at any specific time. (oinkoink)
Have decided since yesterday, that I would stay at home,
to do geography & study a bit.
Then, prolly I'll join Casandra & gang after that.
(They went for Harry Potter without me lor. suckers. :X)

In the end, I failed miserably.
I was doing some other stuff before I actually started with Geography at 1pm.
& I was tired, & bored, & lazy.
So napped after doing half an essay. -.-
Here I am now, geography undone, a failure.
Bah, whatever.
Even the hardworking Casandra's not doing anyway, why should I bother?
